Introduction

Share Of Model Scoring connects the creative library in Pencil Pro with the Share of Model™ platform.

This integration provides a direct way to assess how well each creative reflects the brand's strategic attributes, based on large language model (LLM) perception.

It brings AI-informed feedback into the production process to guide more effective iterations.

Value Added for Clients

This feature is designed for performance marketers, brand managers, and creative teams who:

  • Have both a workspace in SOM & in Pencil

  • Aim to evaluate brand consistency across creatives

  • Need structured input to inform revisions

  • Want to avoid switching between platforms for insights

Benefits include:

  • On-demand scoring based on LLM perception

  • Evaluation of how brand values (e.g. Innovation, Trust) appear in visual or copy elements

  • Score summaries accessible directly inside Pencil

  • Full analysis stored in SoM, with usage linked to workspace credit quota

How It Works

This integration embeds SoM scoring directly into Pencil. When launching a scoring request:

  • The creative is sent to SoM API along with key inputs (brand name, attributes, category, persona, etc.)

  • A Share Of Model Scoring analysis is initiated inside the corresponding SoM workspace

  • The score is returned to Pencil as a summary view and a score per attribute.

  • The full report is available within SoM’s interface for deeper insights. A link is accessible from the view in Pencil.

How to Use It Concretely

This feature helps:

  • Validate brand alignment before campaign launch

  • Determine whether key brand cues are missing or overrepresented

  • Prioritize creative versions for testing

  • Support stakeholder feedback with objective, LLM-based evaluations

Requirements

  • ✅ Available only for mutual clients of Pencil and Share Of Model

  • ✅ An active Share Of Model workspace must exist for the client Pencil

  • ✅ A SoM API token is required (unique to each workspace)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 – Request the Share Of Model API Token
Before activating the integration, a Share Of Model API token must be generated.

  • Confirm that the client has an active SoM workspace

  • Request the API token from the dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) or use the Slack channel #ask-us if unsure who to contact

  • This token identifies the workspace, tracks analysis usage, and stores the results

Step 2 – Connect Share of Model to Pencil

  • Go to Settings > Scores in Pencil

  • Under Share of Model, click Connect

  • Paste the API token

  • Select the matching Organization and Workspace

  • Confirm to activate the integration

Step 3 – Launch a Share Of Model Scoring Request
From the Pencil creative library:

  • Select a creative to evaluate (image, video, or text-based)

  • Click Request Share Of Model Score

  • A form appears with the following fields:

    • Brand name

    • Category (e.g. “Luxury skincare”)

    • Attributes: Select 3 to 6 (e.g. “Trust”, “Expertise”, “Innovation”)

    • (Optional) Persona (e.g. “Eco-conscious 40-year-old female”)

Step 4 – View the Score in Pencil

  • Once processed, a summary score appears in Pencil

  • Includes breakdowns on:

    • Attribute alignment

    • Visual and textual representation

    • Suggestions for improvement

Step 5 (optional) – Access the Full Report in SoM

  • A full analysis entry is created in the connected SoM workspace

  • Open the workspace in SoM to explore full dashboards with LLM scoring, visual heatmaps, and perception charts

Step 6 (optional) – Manage Share Of Model Credit

  • Each scoring request deducts 1 analysis credit from the workspace quota

  • Credit usage is visible within the client's workspace in SoM

  • If needed, additional credits can be requested via the assigned CSM
