🧭 Getting Started Steps

Follow these steps to configure and launch your first Share of Search projet:

1. Enter your Website URL and Brand Name

Domain:

  • Start by select the URL type of your website, domain or subdomain (e.g., nike.com).

  • URLs supported:

    • Currently, the Search module manage two types of URLs: the root domain (mysite.com) and subdomains (www.mysite.com).

    • Other formats, like subdirectories (www.mysite.com/file1/....), are not supported by the solution.

  • Domain / Subdomain tracking:

    • Case 1: If a root domain is provided (mysite.com), the tool collects all positions of any subdomains it finds, such as blog.mysite.com, contact.mysite.com, etc.

    • Case 2: If a subdomain is provided (www.mysite.com), the tool only collects positions for the specified subdomain.

Brand: Add your brand name. This allows the engine to recognize and track all brand mentions in responses.

2. Select your Target Market

Choose the Country & Language where you want the analysis to be performed. This determines which language models and regional variations are used.

3. Add Keywords & Thematics

  • Switch to the Manual tab.

  • Enter your search queries one per line (e.g., wireless headphones, best noise-cancelling earbuds, etc.).

  • Optionally, associate each search query with a thematic to organize your insights (e.g., “product review”, “comparison”, etc.).

  • Click Add to confirm.

4. Verify your Search Queries (keywords)

Your search queries will appear in the “Added to project” section below, along with their assigned thematic. You can add up to 1500 search queries per project.

5. Select Devices and Engines

For now, Desktop is the default and only available device for tracking and reporting. More devices (like Mobile or Tablet) will be added in future updates.

6. Select Devices and Engines

Select the LLMs and search engines you wish to analyze (e.g., ChatGPT, Bing AIO, Google Search Console, Perplexity, etc.) All engines are selected by default

7. Set Frequency

  • Choose how often the analysis should run.

  • [Once] for a one-time snapshot > Available for Pilot pack

  • [Weekly] for recurring Weekly monitoring (tool will collect rankings 1x/week) > only available for Annual Licence pack
