Domain & Brand Performance Comparison
Domain & Brand Performance Comparison
Compare your competitors’ positioning across both search engines and generative engines.
Analyze competitor strengths by identifying which search queries drive their performance.
The module offers two primary views for an adaptable comparison:
Domain URL View: The ranking of competitors’ domains in search queries in both traditional and generative engine (similar to the Overview module).
Brand Mention View: Highlights brand presence across engines, providing insight into brand awareness in search queries.
Both views allow you to download data for further analysis, enabling comparisons across different timeframes to track competitor movements.
Compare Visibility Score with your Competitors
Compare Visibility Score with your Competitors
The 'Visibility Score' chart differs slightly from the 'Overview' view. This simple yet powerful visualization allows you to instantly identify industry leaders and visibility gaps where your domain/brand can improve.
👓 How to read data?
The y-axis displays your domain/brand and your competitors, while the x-axis represents the percentage of domain presence or brand mentions in the across search engines.
Unlike the 'Overview' module, where the score includes both domain presence and brand mentions, this chart separates domain visibility scores from the number of mentions.
Compare Search Queries Intersection with your Competitors
Compare Search Queries Intersection with your Competitors
Similar to the Overview’s search query intersection chart, this visualization highlights search query distribution across the search ecosystem. However, instead of categorizing by search engine type, it focuses on competitor search query coverage.
👓 How to read data?
Each circle represents a competitor (including your domain/brand).
The size of each circle corresponds to the volume of search queries a competitor ranks for.
Overlapping sections indicate shared search query rankings.

AI-driven engines often highlight brands directly, making brand visibility tracking more effective in those environments.
👓 How to read data?
For traditional engines like Google and Bing, brand mentions are not collected because these platforms do not provide structured brand mention rankings.
For France projects, you may find Google AI Overview in the table within an empty cell, but do not take this data into your analysis. The IP addresses we use to retrieve AI Overview insights are not located in France.
Adjust filters by theme, engine, and search type to focus on specific market segments.
Select up to 4 competitors for focused analysis using the dropdown menu.
To analyze new competitors, remove existing selections and add new ones—the data updates instantly.
Search query insights across Engines and Competitors
Search query insights across Engines and Competitors
The Search Query table provides a granular view of your domain and brand rankings.
Analysis available in the table:
Search Query: List of search queries tracked across engines, with visibility into the search type (Generic / Brand) and search intent (Navigational, Informational, Commercial, and Transactional).
Thematic: Thematics associated with the search queries entered during setup.
Search Interest: Score based on the Search Volume (Google Ad planner) of the main keywords that compose the search query, weighted by relevance + last 12 months trend.
Volume (Average): From SEMrush data, view the search volume for each search query.
Competitors: See how your competitors (domains and brand mentions) are positioned on each engine for the search queries tracked. Compare their rankings to your own.
Engines section: Displays the rankings of your competitor domain URLs and their brand mentions positioned compared to your domain/brand mention, across the different engines:
Search Engines: (Google, Bing) ⚠ URL DOMAIN only
AI Overview: (Google AI Overviews, Bing AI Overviews) available for 'Domain URL' & 'Brand mention' mode
Generative Engines: (Gemini, Perplexity, ChatGPT) available for 'Domain URL' & 'Brand mention' mode.
You can select a search query by clicking on the "Details" button, to open the side panel and see deep insights as well.
👓 How to read data?
Search Query and Thematic columns are the most important metrics that we provided to you, ensuring that key data remains visible at all times.
The Volume (Average) column is masked by default. Use the Add/Remove column feature to add this column and data in the table.
Data aligns with the Rankings module, meaning you can track your presence and performance (domain/brand mention) on search queries tracked across different views.
Click on the "Details" button next to the search query to open an expanded modal with competitor ranking insights. This includes your domain’s ranking position, Competitor ranking position, Brand mention frequency, and a snapshot (of each SERP's, AI Overview, or LLM response where brand or domain appears).
