🎯 Why Use This View?

The Search queries view allows you to visualize the presence and positioning of your domain and brand for each analysed search queries across different Search engines.

By clicking on a specific query into 'search query' column, you access detailed information, such as screenshots of SERPs and LLMs, as well as information on competitor domains and brands positioned for each analyzed search engine


📊 What This View Helps You Analyze

This view gives a granular, search query-level understanding of how your domain and brand performs across traditional and generative engines.

Compare how your Domain and your Brand perform on the analyzed search queries.


Given that we track the presence of domains as URLs and their brand, we have segmented this view so that you can review the performance of your domain using the 'Domain URL' display mode, or the performance of your brand using the 'Brand Mention' mode. You can easily switch between the two modes using the button at the top of the page, which acts as a dynamic filter and updates the data displayed in the table.

  • Domain URL: In the 'Domain URL' mode, you'll see, in the search query table, the rankings of your URLs that appeared for the search queries across each search engine, along with any mentions of your brand when quotes[""] appears near the URL position number.

  • Brand Mention: In the 'Brand Mention' mode, you can find in the search query table, the rankings for your brand mentions related to the search queries across the monitored search engines.
    Note: Brand Mention rankings are not collected for traditional Google et Bing search engines.

How the Search queries are positioned and mentioned on engines

  • Search Query: This column lists all the search queries you entered during project setup.

    • Access search query details: Hover your mouse over the column to display the Eyecon that gives access to the details (SERPs screenshots and competitive landscape)

    • Type of Search: This column indicates whether the search queries are generic or include your brand, as defined in the settings of your project:

      • Brand: What is best Nike running shoes

      • Generic: What is best running shoes

    • Search Intent: Provides information on the intent behind the search query. A search query may have multiple intent types. Here is the list of search intents:

      • Informational: The user seeks general knowledge

      • Navigational: The user wants to go to a specific website

      • Transactional: The user intends to take an action like purchasing or subscribing

      • Commercial: The user compares options before making a purchase

  • Thematic: The 'Thematic' column reflects the theme of the search query that you will have previously defined during the project creation stage

  • Search Interest: Score based on the Search Volume (Google Ad planner) of the main keywords that compose the search query, weighted by relevance + last 12 months trend

  • Trends: Search query Average Search Volume trend from Google ad planner over the last 12 months

  • Engines section: Displays the rankings of your Domain URL and the positions of your Brand mentions across the different engines:

    • Search Engines: (Google, Bing) ⚠ URL DOMAIN only

    • AI Overview: (Google AI Overviews, Bing AI Overviews) available for 'Domain URL' & 'Brand mention' mode

    • Generative Engines: (Gemini, Perplexity, ChatGPT) available for 'Domain URL' & 'Brand mention' mode

The "Details" button opens a side panel with 2 critical views:

1. My performance

A Deep Dive into Your Domain and Brand Mentions

This section provides a comprehensive analysis through 3 sections of how your domain and your brand appears in search results engines

  • Ranked URLs: This table showcases your highest-ranking URLs for the selected search query

    • Engine: Indicates the engine where your domain is positioned

    • URL: Reveals the positioned URL. Clicking on the link redirects you to the dedicated page.

    • Rank: Indicates the position of your domain URL.

    • Ranked Search Queries: Shows the number of times this URL has been detected across all the search queries audited on the engine.

  • Brand Mentions: If your brand appears in search results, this view reveals how often it has been mentioned.

    • Engine: Indicates the engine where your domain is positioned

    • Brand Mention: Reveals the name of your brand mentioned in the AI overview and the responses from AI-powered engines.

    • Rank: Indicates the position of your brand mention

    • Iteration: Shows the number of times this Brand mention has been detected across all the search queries audited on the engine


  • Snapshots: A snapshot of each SERP's, AI Overview, or LLM response where your brand or domain appears will be available here.

2. Competition Landscape

Benchmarking Against Competitors

This view provides an in-depth analysis of your domain and brand positioning among competitors for a search query. Use the Engines Filter to displays related competition landscape

  • Filters: Select the engine for which you want to display the data to analyze.

  • Top Domains: This table ranks the leading websites appearing for the selected search query, providing insight into which competitor dominate the space.

    • URL : Reveals the positioned URL. Clicking on the link redirects you to the dedicated page.

    • Rank: Indicates the position of the domain URL.

    • Ranked Search Queries: Shows the number of times this URL has been detected across all the search queries audited on the selected engine

  • Top Mentions: Beyond URLs, this section tracks which brands are being referenced within search results.

    • Brand Mention: Reveals the name of the brand mentioned in the AI overview and/or the responses from AI-powered engines.

    • Rank: Indicates the position of the brand mention among others

    • Iteration: Shows the number of times this Brand mention has been detected across all the search queries audited on the engine

  • Snapshots: The snapshot related to the engine selected above, in the engine filter. Click on the thumbnail to open or Download.

⚙️Extra Features

View Filters

You can refine the data displayed in the Overview view using view filters. Applying the filters will dynamically update the charts in the overview.

  • Date Picker: Select the desired date range and click the 'Apply' button to update the data in the view. For a 'weekly' project frequency, the selectable period is the week.
    Note: The rankings' changes displayed in the data table are calculated by default compared to the previous week.

  • All thematics: Focus on specific themes you defined during setup to analyze their impact on visibility.

  • All engines: Narrow your analysis to particular engines, helping you understand performance variations across platforms.

  • All types (Generic / Brand): Allows filtering the data to only generic queries (excluding brand name) or exclusively brand queries.

  • Add filter: Display or mask filter(s) in the view by using the "Add filter" button.

  • Reset filters: Click the "Reset filters" button at the end of the line to clear all the applied filters.

Table option

  • Search: Quickly find a Search Query by using the search bar.


  • Column Selector: Hide or display up different columns, keeping only the most relevant data visible. However, "Domain" and "Brand" columns remain mandatory as they are the core references.


  • Export Data:

    • Download your competitor analysis in CSV or Excel format for long-term tracking.

    • This is particularly useful for seasonal comparisons, such as during sales periods or holiday campaigns.
